Where is the DRC and what did it used to be called?

Occupied by the belgians in 1908 the country has since undergone intense political instability. In 1960 the country, previously named The Republic of the Congo changed its name to Zaire. There are several militant groups and ethnicities living and operating with, what is known today as 'The Democratic Republic of The Congo'.
